Privacy notice

This notice explains how Detour Digital Inc. handles information collected through detourdigital.com. Questions or requests to access, correct, or remove information can be sent to alex@detourdigital.com.

Enquiries and project discussions

The enquiry form collects your name, email, message, and any business or project details you choose to provide. Optional planning notes are sent only when you include them and submit the form. Detour Digital uses this information to respond, assess project fit, and manage the resulting conversation or engagement. Submitting an enquiry does not subscribe you to a marketing list.

Website providers

Netlify hosts this website and processes form submissions. Verified enquiries and their follow-up status may be stored in Netlify Forms and Netlify Blobs. Email correspondence is handled through Google Workspace. These providers may process information outside Canada. Their infrastructure may retain technical logs needed to operate and protect their services.

Booking a call

The booking link opens a Google Calendar appointment page. Google processes the details you supply to arrange the meeting under its own privacy terms. The website records when its booking link is opened; that does not confirm that a meeting was booked.

Planning tools and your browser

Worksheet answers stay in the page until you choose to download them, save them in this browser, or bring them to the enquiry form. Browser saving is optional and can be cleared using the tool. Notes brought to the enquiry form use temporary session storage. Avoid saving confidential notes on a shared device.

Understanding website use

The site records limited first-party usage events, such as page views, planning-tool actions, booking-link openings, and successful enquiry submissions. These records use page paths and broad source information, rather than names, email addresses, worksheet answers, full referral URLs, or advertising identifiers. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals disable this usage measurement. Source information for an enquiry may include its landing page, referring domain, and campaign labels; it is kept temporarily in session storage before submission.

Fonts and external links

Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts. Following links to LinkedIn, client websites, or other external services takes you to sites with their own information practices.

Keeping and protecting information

Access to enquiries and the lead dashboard is restricted. Information is used for the enquiry, client relationship, website operation, and necessary business records. Contact Alex if information is no longer needed or you would like it removed; any records that must be retained for an existing obligation will be explained in response. Detour Digital does not sell enquiry information.
